BEIJING, Dec. 21 (Xinhua) – Both revenues and profits of software and information technology (IT) sector in China slowed in the first 11 months of this year, data released today show.
The sector generated about 3.3 trillion yuan (539,000 million US dollars) in revenue in the first 11 months, 20.1 percent over over the previous year and exceeded the total income of all 2013, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said in a statement.
The combined profit sector rose 23.7 percent to 384,100 million during the same period, 1.9 percent less than the same period last year.
The employees in the sector increased 9.7 percent to over 4.8 million people, 3.9 percentage points less than the increase in the same period last year, the ministry said.
The software exports grew by 14.3 percent year on year to 43,800 million US dollars, down 15 percent reported in the period January to October.
