Prevent online advertising through software – El Diario de Yucatan

         


     

More than a third of young people between 16 and 24 years globally prevented the appearance of ads through software, preferring block advertising (ad-block), they said digital research firm, GlobalWebIndex

During the third quarter of 2015, more than a third of young people avoided the appearance of ads through software for this purpose, reports “Forbes”.

The market digital advertising in Mexico will reach 11.453 million pesos in 2015, equivalent to 22% share of the Mexican market, according to D’Arriens, technology-oriented company in digital media solutions.

In addition, 6 out of 10 people aged between 16 and 24 are concerned that their personal data being used without permission by a company.

The use of such software was lowest among people 55 to 64 years (17 %), this expresses greater concern about privacy group, but is the least interested in seeing personalized recommendations based on their history.

“In short, this means that people aged 55 to 64 years are more resistant to ads, but less likely to use ad blockers, “said Jason Manders, head of trends GlbalWebIndex.
