Cuban educational software resources account for interest in Felti … – Prensa Latina

 Active Image 2 0 May 2015, 00:03 Havana, May 20 (PL) The creation of software in education is one of the topics of greatest interest in the international forum of entrepreneurs and leaders in information technology (Felti 2015), culminating today in this capital.

 Dr. Ivan Barreto, director of the company’s computer and media (Cinesoft) of the Ministry of Education of Cuba, told Prensa Latina that the resources in education in particular attract participants.

2015 Felti in session until Wednesday in the Integrated Technology Research Center, the Higher Polytechnic Institute José Antonio Echeverría in Havana, attended by representatives of 50 companies from 12 nations.

During Thursday and Friday will meet in the resort of Varadero, Matanzas province, to meet exchange days.

Barredo said the company Cinesoft purpose is to develop technologies from the national education system, made by a group of Cuban teachers trained for more than 15 years in the realization of content and communicative computing resources.

He said that many countries are equipping their schools technologies last minute as laptops and tablets, handing them to children and young students, but the problem is in what content to put in those teams.

In this regard, the expert pointed out that the Cuban educational model has allowed to have excellent products for technologies that reach schools.

He stressed also the staff of the company’s computer and media in Cuba, despite being a new entity, is a task that goes back more than 20 years working in the introduction of technologies to the national education system.

In this regard, he cited the production of educational documentaries, educational software and computer network of the Ministry of Education, the latter a platform for content distribution and preparation of teachers.

A panel made during the meeting dealt with the information technologies in education, its application to school children and senior age.
