Every day billions of queries running on the various Internet search engines. Most of the time users enter the name of a character in search of photos, videos, movies, songs, etc.
This has led cybercriminals take advantage of the digital traffic generated by these celebrities, to commit their fraud.
A study by Intel Security, revealed Thursday said that searches for certain musicians and comedians tend to expose persons performing these Internet searches more potential viruses and malware.

The late musician, singer and Argentine composer Gustavo Cerati, he was ranked number three. Cybercriminals are always looking for ways to take advantage of consumer interest in popular culture events including award shows, premieres of TV shows and movies and album releases, celebrity personal issues and to create websites infested with malware, allowing them to steal passwords and personal information.
“With the desire to get real-time, frequently consumers click on sites that provide news and entertainment quickly, without considering the consequences for security,” said Stacey Conner, an expert in Online Security Security Intel.
It seems that people who intend to download or listen to free music can be particularly at risk. “The names of celebrities with the terms ‘free mp4′ ‘HD downloads,’ or ‘torrent’ are some of the most searched terms on the Web,” said Conner.
