Increases malware on Android phones – El Diario de Hoy

The malicious programs that target mobile phones with the Android operating system are becoming more common, and some are already infected at the time of sale.

A report by German security firm G DATA says the infected samples increased by 25% in the second quarter compared with the first.

According to the report, released Wednesday, analysts identified a new strain of malware every 14 seconds .

Some phones from manufacturers such as Huawei and Xiaomi contain modified apps designed to spy on users or display advertising.

G DATA spokesman, Christian Lueg, said the phone apparently were installed by intermediaries, but to seek the source “in China lost track.”

Users can detect the malware with free software.
