The Importance of Software – Apple, sports and current affairs

In today’s post I want to talk about the importance of Software in our society and therefore in our culture. The Software became the main invention of the twentieth century in our society. And today is that our whole society is mounted or work above the bases of Software .

Who does not use your mobile device to contact his family or friends daily? Who does not see the press or read through internet ? These two cases are clear examples that we have adapted perfectly to Software and use it as normal and everyday. To continue with the examples, all hospitals operate thanks to Software , like all businesses. Through the Software we communicate, we are able to create content, edit it and even share it. Today a video or picture you take for example from home, you can get to go around the world in a matter of minutes with the Software device that allows me to take the picture, the Software computer allowing me to access social networks via the Internet and Social Networking Software for allowing me to share a photo or video.

computers have become the essential tool to carry out processes that were unimaginable in previous centuries. Developments since the first computers were back in the 40s, through the Apple Lisa in the 80 PC is the current 90 and iMac or Portable , has been impressive.

But about the examples, photography. The photograph was created as such in 1839 by Louis Daguerre and his Daguerreotype , we can even go back further in time and talk about the Darkroom and what it entailed, but I want not to roll over, where I’m getting at is that the creation of the Software and its evolution has been so tremendous, that today is not that we can take pictures with our phones or cameras photographic, but also can “manipulate” these images at will see the example program Photoshop . And this program we could talk about others like video editing, Final Cut After Effects Camtasia Movie Maker …

The purpose of today’s post is to give the importance of Software in our lives. I recommend reading the book “ The Software command ” Lev Manovich which perfectly explains the contribution of these characters and delves into a subject about which little has been deepened when we talk about Software , the origins

A clear example is the invention by Ivan Sutherland “ Sketchpad ” also presented for his thesis. This is the first software allowing to create and manipulate graphical objects, ie the first drawing program, the basis of all the programs we know today.

Today, all we have access to a computer, we are able to create content, modify and share, either text, video or photo and all thanks to Software. Software that will stop moving ever because just as we have access to it to create content, modify and share, we also have the ability to create it.
