Schneider Electric agrees to buy InStep Software – Maintenance & Storage

Schneider Electric , a global specialist in energy management and energy efficiency leader, has reached an sane to buy InStep Software, operator leading software and solutions performance management in real-time and predictive analysis. With this acquisition, the business software company grows and expands its presence in the energy and electricity market. Transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2014, subject to customary laws and other conditions of closing of the transaction. “As with other recent acquisitions, InStep Software strengthens our portfolio segments and industries in our industry ,” says Rob McGreevy, vice president of Information, Operations and Asset Management Schneider Electric.

Based in Chicago and founded in 1995, InStep Software provides two solutions for performance management solutions in real time and predictive analytics software. The tool collects, stores, analyzes , monitors and reports real-time operational data from sensors and machines.
