Uber offers up to $ 10,000 for each failure in its software – Merca2.0

International .- The transport app Uber, has been placed as the most valuable startup worldwide (according to data provided by the web portal Statista based on figures from Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal), with a value of 51 billion dollars, ranking far ahead of other startups like Xiaomi (46 billion dollars), Airbnb (25.5 billion) and Palantir (20 billion dollars). And now, it seems so sure of its operation that has jumped to the news for the reward or gift that just launched.

And, starting next May 1, anyone who find errors in your software, within 90 working days, will be able to charge up to $ 10,000. While, yes, to collect such amount will have to find at least 4 errors.

If you find a fifth error, you get a bonus equivalent to 10% of the average of the previous 4 errors. Therefore, what Uber wants this new reward offered to become a kind of “loyalty program” to encourage hackers to keep finding errors.

As for the errors could be found (although Uber has already said it is virtually impossible to find errors in their software), there are 3 types and are (and each pays a different amount of money):

  • Vulnerabilities, such as being able to change the image of a driver, are paid $ 3,000.
