This /strong> strong> software is part of the thesis project of the graduate who, after a series of tests and modifications to the system, he said it is possible to compare the features of identikit previously digitized, with the basis of photographs of people with police and criminal records of the National Police of Peru, obtaining the results in an average of 5 minutes.
“This project aims to reduce the differences between a sketch and a picture, with reference to the edges of the picture,” said the graduate, who is currently perfecting software and improving accuracy in identifying points of similarity to the person with the drawing and the time it takes the program to the recognition of faces.
Veruska Palomino also he said he hoped to be able to test database with the same PNP to collaborate with the work done in the institution combating crime.
Note that the graduate has presented his research project in the Peruvian VII Symposium on Artificial Intelligence (SPIA), organized by the Centre for Research and Innovation Science in the Computation of the Catholic University San Pabl or with the support of the Peruvian Computer Society, held in Arequipa.
