JDA Software wants to conquer the Central American market – The Economist

The American company JDA Software has reached the regional space, and its spearhead was to enter Guatemala.

The company that provides software solutions for supply chain and was born in Arizona in the eighties, will start working for the Guatemalan chain supermarkets UniSuper, with its flagship brand La Torre.

The leading retail Guatemala has more than 50 years in the market and has 55 shops looking for a solution to improve service levels, reduce time and costs, and optimize inventory levels, for it acquired the software Portfolio Merchandise Management ( PMM), “Advanced Store Replenishment and Warehouse (E3) and Space Planning (Intactix)”.

 

 “This investment is primarily to exceed service levels to our customers and continue to grow efficiently,” commented Freddy Gereda, Director General of UniSuper.

“We are very excited about working with one of the companies major market Guatemala and Central America with a long history, focusing on providing the best for their customers, “added Antonio Boccalandro, Group VP Latin America JDA Software.
