The ‘software’ hidden Lenovo – CCM

Users have found that Lenovo BIOS installed on their computers one software hidden almost impossible to remove.

Lenovo returns to star in a major controversy. In February it emerged that their laptops include a factory- adware that compromised the safety of the user. Now, a user group has denounced the existence of a software created by Chinese manufacturer teams remaining in their even after formatting the hard disk and therefore its removal is very complicated, underlines ABC.

Some users have explained in the forums of the website Ars Technica have discovered a program that Lenovo brand notebooks that had just installed a clean copy of Windows 7 or 8 on a new hard disk reappears even be removed and the system is restarted. This software , known as Lenovo Service Engine (LSE) is in the BIOS of computers, so that overwrites the Windows startup and is reactivated although the user re-install the operating system.

This program serves to improve the operation of the equipment, but also send information about them to the company . The problem is that information is not protected and could be stolen by hackers.

Lenovo has acknowledged the incident and published an update to remove , but users are not sure that the patch delete all the software hidden that the company installed.
