Ciatec develops software for production control via web – Conacyt News Agency (press release) (Registration)

Leon, Guanajuato. December 17, 2015 (Informative Agency Conacyt) .- The Center for Applied Innovation in Competitive Technologies (Ciatec), together with Industrias Scalini, dedicated to the development of shoemaking machinery, implemented an automated system for real-time control of the production of footwear over the Internet.

The Ciatec is an organism that is part of the Network of Public Centers of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) whose main objective is to contribute to the development technological, economic and social development of Mexico.

Automation of manufacturing project in footwear industry through the use of information technologies was developed in just over a year by the Ciatec specialists, Miguel Enrique Chowell, leader of applications and systems, and Ruben Hernandez, systems consultant at the center, who undertook this work, given the need for companies to start footwear industry to modernize their processes, where -in real time- obtain information about the process of making lots of shoes.

The initial prototype developed included the automation of ovens mounted Scalini Industries, who developed the machine in addition to cards communication between the software and equipment.

Meanwhile, Ciatec, through specialists, the project contributed to the development of Administration and the to communicate with the card sending the previously captured information and run with it lots of planned production.

The /span span> software > Ciatec developed by specialists aimed to get variables like temperature, humidity and speed in production, which would allow the data produced and checked instantly determine whether the production line of shoes should fit in intensity or parameters, to to achieve the production lot per day.

Finally, the draft process automation for the footwear industry, developed between Ciatec and Industry Scalini, it was presented at the Fair of Suppliers ANPIC last October, where companies in Mexico and abroad showed interest in the developed software.
