Authorities are investigating hacking software after the Jeep Cherokee – The Review

The National Administration Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said it is investigating an estimated 2.8 million systems Harman Kardon infotainment used in the Fiat-Chrysler vehicles, to check the vulnerabilities of software security.

“It has opened an inquiry to investigate the number and models of vehicles affected, the effectiveness of the recall action and if other security vulnerabilities in the population,” specified the NHTSA.

Just imagine that you are driving your Jeep Cherokee on a highway and blow will hear a voice that tells you that you have been abducted … and you can do nothing. Hollywood must be rubbing their hands, because surely come a blockbuster movie about it.
