The event aims to boost jobs with new business models associated with the use of open technologies
Bilbao in November will become the epicenter of the software world free and open technologies with 2014 LibreCon celebration, a gathering of business and employment to be held on 11 and 12 and they have a large international presence.
This meeting will bring together the world of responsible business, government and education who wish to know what are the technology options that are becoming “more competitive and efficient” to some of the leading companies and government agencies of the State and Europe, as reported by the organizers in a statement.
The congress, which is held on 11 and 12 November in the Palace Euskalduna- aims the creation and revitalization of business and employment through conferences and dynamics around innovation, entrepreneurship and the use open technologies successful.
In this issue may meet some of the most important cases of European success around open technologies in public administrations, companies of all sizes and education sector.
The event will feature speakers from the likes of Enrique Dans, Xavier Guimard, project migration of the French Gendarmerie, responsible for large companies such as Ford, Banco Santander, Hotelopia, Eroski Group or startups and SMEs as CartoDB, Ticketbis among others.
This Congress is organized by the Association of Free Software in the Basque Country, ESLE, along with the National Federation of Enterprises in Free Software, ASOLIF.
The conference expects to bring together in Bilbao Euskalduna nearly 1,500 business leaders, institutions and national and international organizations working in this field, in order to place open technologies as “drivers of competitiveness” .
As explained its organizers, the idea is to make visible the real benefits of a sector that is contributing “decisively” to economic recovery and is a “real alternative” to companies and governments around . the world “through increased competitiveness, provided the great savings and the development of local economies,”
The theme of the 2014 LibreCon has focused on four strategic areas: industry, trade, finance and education fields where proven solutions that drive the generation of value added, not to mention others, such as health and the third sector will be presented. “It is, therefore, to show that new businesses associated with the use of open technologies are now creating new job contributing,” they added.
The conference will feature a conference area and workshops, with over 60 activities planned, which will discuss pioneering solutions worldwide. In the business world examples conducted in large and small organizations linked to Solutions in the Cloud, Mobility, Big Data and Electronic Commerce are displayed.
In addition, workshops and demos open solutions will be presented with a practical approach, which will be aimed at more technical or high decision-making power in the departments of IT companies profiles. The organization has reserved an additional 2,000 m2 space for other exhibitors in the area in which the participating companies and organizations will present their technological innovations.
The LibreCon 2014 sessions include entrepreneurship as the presentation European technological FINODEX accelerator, in order to find investors or partners to move forward with new projects related to open data and a budget of nearly 5 million over two years.
